Assignment 2 J.Arnold

In the Article titled "Scoppe: Government has to make choices families, businesses don't", by Cindy Scoppe for The State newspaper. I believe Cindy Scoppe was trying to distinguish the difference between what the families and businesses do compared to the government. It basically shows the different assumptions that have been made. There are certain expectations the government has to maintain that we the citizens of this nation depend on. It seems like the government is portraying that they're coming up with different analogies for economic change. Whatever the case may be a decision has to be made immediately, because at the end of the year they estimated about 12% of americans will be unemployed. Making a decision such as bailing out the auto industry to help our economy wasn't good when thousands of people lose jobs everyday! I'm all for our government helping the citizens of america, but not if it can't help more than the high income families. Needless to say coming up with analogies or blueprints aren't enough if you can't show and prove...talk is cheap!
